The mind of Gen. Stanley McChrystal

If you are an almost nobody in your 20s, any good journalist can get you to forget he/she is a journalist and get you to say things you do not really wish the world to know: the fact is that journalists have no friends, they just have sources.
But if you are a well known hero general in his 50s, what makes you run your mouth? You got to know that the journalist will tell what you say, even if maybe you do not realize how much you said.
The general and his team did not just criticize the President, they were unhappy with everybody: Washington, their own ambassador in Afghanistan, the Afghan President, the British allies, and that says only one thing: it says they were not on top of the game.
